The sandwich itself was disappointing; it included three slices of ham and four slices of pepperoni along with a thin slice of cheese that tasted like it was moldy. To top it off, the bread wasn’t even Italian! They claim it’s homemade, but it was obviously taken from a grocery store bag. I overheard some local customers discussing the high prices, which were $8.00 for a small Italian sandwich. If you’re there, just listen to what people are saying about the place! The only redeeming quality is that they offer some really good chocolate cakes that they buy from elsewhere.
I make it a point to visit this restaurant whenever I'm in the area. I was surprised to learn that it recently changed ownership. The new owners have added their own dishes while also maintaining the classic menu quite well. Be sure to try the pizza and mac salad—they're delicious! The owners are a lovely older couple who clearly put a lot of love into their food. Yum!
