We reserved a table for our two young boys and for dinner. But when we arrived, we were told without apology that our table had been given to another family. It was 8 in the night, we had no place to eat our children.
3 or 4 starters directly from the daily market as principal meals Prices are smooth regarding the quality they serve Definitly a fine spot on the sea side for a bear, lunch or diner Audrey and Henri (chief) manage their table very Kindly Let’s try...nems of moussette (little spider mâle crabe)
We went to Les Dunes 3 times, during the low season, but it was nearly full everytime. The restaurant is excessively well placed, in the dunes hence its name! overlooking the beach and the sea. It’s more of a bistro than a traditional...restaurant, exactly what you expect to find on the beach. Simple tables and chairs, as i was told there is quite a lot of in and out during the summer season. The menu is limited, and mostly about fish and seafood, yet proposes enough choice for everyone and also a couple of meat based dishes. Quality is excellent, very tasty, perfect size portions and service fast. I recommend the ‘moules marinières’, they are excellent! We went 3 times so far and were never disappointed. We were twice lucky to have a table by the window (we booked), so we could enjoy the sunset over the sea. The second time was in the evening and there was a live band, and the atmosphere was brilliant. We loved the place!
This is a beach bar right next to the beach. It is obviously very popular with local people. We saw it when we went to the beach to walk the dog. We sat outside in the sun and drank beer pression, brought to the table...by a lovely girl, who promptly returned with a bowl of water for the dog. Inside it is bright and clean, with a splendid clean loo. Everybody was clearly enjoying their meal. Well done!
