Waldschenke With Heart - Graach

I and my family have this place absolutely LOVED! This is sure to eat the place in Saarburg! The staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful, we loved our experience! The food is also very good and of very high quality without doubt! I had the Schnitzel, the chicken burger, Pommes and the beer. All you can see in the pictures that are included. 100% recommended!

We accidentally saw this place on our hike and decided to come back to dinner later. We had the best cheeses ever.

Kind of a mixed review of this very casual inn located on the top of a hill nowhere close to Bernkastel-Kues. Firstly, you cannot walk to this place from Bernkastel no matter what your Google Maps or GPS tells you. You need to drive straight up the hill through the vineyards to the very top. Follow the signs. Get their phone number as well. One of the staff speaks some english so that is helpful. They are very welcoming and will help with the menu and ordering. The view is pretty good of the Kues side of the river as you are so far up the hill. The food we ate was good and they have local cuisine. There were no other diners and our order took 30 minutes to arrive. Not impressed. Also, to pay the bill you might have to go looking for any staff. The ladies washroom had zero toilet paper.

Perfect stop for a cold drink and some basic but tasty food after a walk in the beautifull surrondings. we had delicious beers and bretzels. BBQ was on and many people seem to enjoy their plate of several kind of meat cuts. nice view over the hills. friendly and efficient staff.

At the end of a hike we returned here and had a very entertaining afternoon with an elvis "live performance". the wine tasted super, eating looked very appealing and smelly delicious. the hostes were insidiously accommodating and brought us to Bernkastel-Kues at the end of the afternoon. thanks again for the beautiful time. we're coming back!
