Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by a waitress who lacked personality and seemed to forget we were there; she never checked on us once. Also, many of the tables were left dirty from previous customers throughout our visit. To be fair, she appeared to be the only staff member in the dining area, which makes me wonder if staffing issues are to blame—something that reflects poorly on the owner/manager. I’m hopeful that the restaurant can deliver a good burger on our next visit, as their name suggests they specialize in that type of food. The only reason we’re willing to give them a second chance is because they’re a small-town establishment and deserve an opportunity to improve.
I really enjoyed the pizza, I appreciated the ownership, and above all, I absolutely loved the waitress.
After waiting for a while, we finally decided to grab our own menus from the counter. It took about 30 minutes for someone to take our drink orders (just water and tea), and another 30 minutes before we could place our food orders. Surprisingly, we watched as others who had arrived around the same time—or even later—received their meals, ate, and left while we waited. When our burgers finally arrived, they were mediocre at best (similar to what you’d find at any fast food restaurant, but with incredibly slow service). After two hours, we were finally back on the road. Despite the odd vibe from the other patrons, the two servers we interacted with were quite friendly, which is why I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of none. I definitely wouldn’t recommend stopping here if you're just passing through; the vibe suggested we didn’t belong, and the food certainly wasn’t worth the long wait.
The Queso burger was great! Loved the dipping sauce and our dog, Rusty was able to dine with us outside!!
Driving by on I 70 we were looking for a local place that is pet friendly. Found this hidden small town gem.Nice outside paito area, enclosed enough to block the Kansas wind. Friendly people, great atmosphere. We had a blt and a toasted club and they fixed a hamburger for my dog. very good.
