MX Tapas Bar Restaurante

We have been coming to Grand Junction for years, but this was our first time visiting the MX Tapas Bar. We enjoyed margaritas, tacos, and chimichangas, which were all delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The furniture and carpet decor seemed a bit worn, but we were still comfortable. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

We went to MX Tapas on a Friday night with a reservation. We were seated promptly and the waiter took our drink order right away. However, it took some time for our drinks to arrive. After we received our drinks, we ordered the tapas platter but it took at least 30 minutes for our food to be served. The food was delicious. A friend joined us and ordered two tacos, which took another 30 minutes to arrive. The waiter apologized, but did not offer an explanation for the long wait times.

The food was good, but the service was very slow at this restaurant. It took a long time to get our drinks refilled, even though the restaurant was not even half full. I'm not sure why the service was so delayed.

Excellent eating and margaritas! beautiful atmosphere and ambiente will definitely return!

Good concept but unfortunately like many western slope dining experiences, it was poorly executed. Tortillas that were light fresh yet grossly oversized for the amount of meat served in them and wet over juicy droppings don’t make for great tapas. The margs were okay. Not strong or overly flavorful.
