Ours took far too long. The black coffee was served in an Irish coffee cup, the orange juice was from a can the water tasted like the water the dentist uses. When I asked for a modification to my sandwich the young inexperienced waitress looked at me like I was inconveniencing her something terrible. When I did receive my burger it was raw inside. I wasn’t willing to pay $20. for a reheated burger and felt so extremely unwelcome at this point I decided to pay for my coffee and leave. The bartender charged me $13. for two black coffees tried to guilt trip me. Needless to say I will never be back will warn my friends family to avoid this place.
We did not stay here just ate at the restaurant. Boy was it worth the money! The food was ah mazing! And the wait staff were so kind and fun to talk to. They even took our photo in front of the river. If weather allows sit on the patio, it won't disappoint. We had the crab cakes, elk medallions and lamb. Finished with the key lime and the tiramisu. I only wish I took a photo of my lemon drop lavender martini truly amazing. About $95 per person for all of it.
My husband and I stayed the weekend at the Historic Rapids Lodge in Grand Lake and could not have been happier. It's a homey, rustic environment, steeped in history and located right next to the lovely rapids. We had lunch by the river and hated to leave. Highly recommend. Rooms: The rooms are in theme with the historic location, Comfy bed. Walkability: Steps from the main street in Grand Lake.
Great food menu at the restaurant. Is more of an upscale menu and atmosphere. Service was great as well!
This was such a cute hotel! If we come by again we would definitely rebook here! It was very clean, spacious, and welcoming!!
