La Roe's - Grand Rapids

This lovely little restaurant is the perfect way to conclude a day of speedy kayaking. The back deck is beautiful, allowing you to enjoy watching the small birds at the feeders. The food is delightful, with the soups appearing to be homemade and absolutely divine. The rolls served at the table are incredibly light and fluffy. Plus, it’s not overly expensive!

My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant for years, and we've never been let down. It truly stands out as one of our favorite places to eat! Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Maumee River in Grand Rapids, Ohio, this lovely eatery is surrounded by charming shops and rich history. The ambiance, both inside and outside, is incredibly warm and inviting. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes and drinks, all of which are consistently delicious! The staff is exceptional, and the owner, Dave LaRoe, is always on hand to greet guests with his polite and friendly demeanor. This restaurant is truly excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fantastic culinary experience!

We've eaten here twice in the last seven months. Both times were absolutely fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed the cocktails the Appatiser and our main course. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic. The owner always stops at our table to make sure everything was for our pleasure. In any case, a place we will return to. It's really a great place for lunch or dinner.

Owners give great customer service. Very good food, gerties chicken dish is wonderful. Definitely order the root beer of Tap

La Roe's is a delightful hidden gem in this small town. The service is outstanding, and the food is top-notch. The kids' menu is a hit with my six-year-old, especially the chicken fingers and fries, which are always a favorite. The poppy seed dressing is so delicious that the restaurant even sells it! While the menu can be a bit on the pricey side, you definitely won't be disappointed. If you find yourself near Grand Rapids, make sure to stop by for a meal!
