Eddie's Restaurant - Grand Sudbury

We were so lucky to have this restaurant conveniently located just across the street from our hotel. It had the perfect combination of diner-like vibes, cool ambiance, and Canadian flair that we were looking for.

This is our favorite place in town where my friends and I like to go to watch the game and enjoy some inexpensive beer.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food came to the table hot and all together, the burgers, chicken sandwich and fish tasted great. The only real flaw was the french fries, they seemed under cooked. 2 of us ordered poutine, so it wasn't too bad as the hot gravy helped. We could have asked for the fries to be sent back, but we were hungry and didn't want to bother.

You can always tell if the locals are hanging out at Eddie's, then it must be good - and they're absolutely right! Don't let the decor discourage you from enjoying a great meal - they're a staple in Sudbury and clearly from my experience they're doing something right to be around this long. Service was excellent - so nice to see, Corporate and Franchise restaurants should take notes, Eddie's staff know how to treat their customers. Taps were fresh and super cold, the wings were just like you'd make at home....super fresh and not from a box. Cant wait to go back and try their breakfast!

I have been here twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times the staff treated us as an inconvenience and the food was sparse, tasteless and the atmosphere made both visits a disappointment. I doubt that they see much repeat business.
