State Main - Grande Prairie

I came to this restaurant for a late lunch and discovered that happy hour starts at 2pm. The ambiance was nice, it wasn't too crowded, and there were plenty of servers. The food was good quality and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the portion sizes seemed smaller, possibly due to inflation.

My colleagues and I had a wonderful dinner at State and Main in Grand Prairie, AB. There were eight of us and the restaurant was able to easily accommodate our group. Our server, Keara, was outstanding. She efficiently took our drink, appetizer, and entrée orders, making sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious. I had the salmon, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The pistachio butter added a delightful touch to the dish. My colleagues had steaks cooked to perfection, ranging from rare to medium – the kitchen impressed us all. Special thanks to Keara for her exceptional service. We had a fantastic anniversary dinner tonight. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and quick, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, it was a great experience.

I really hate to leave a bad review, because state and main has always been so good to me. I've always had a great time, but tonight, not so much. The food was bang on, they did drop our order of wings on the floor and told us the wings would be delayed because they dropped our wings on the floor. That was whatever, someone, I assume from the kitchen even came by to make sure our food was satisfactory, which it was. But the waitress was very inattentive. I asked for an &Sour which is a drink theyve offered for a long time. The waitress didn't know what I was asking for, and I said can you ask your bartender if they can do an &Sour and she said our bartender just turned 18 3 days ago so she won't know what you're asking for. They gave me basically whisky in lemonade and even asked if that tasted okay. I said not really but they still charged me $11.50 for it. The food is still good as ever but the rest was just lacking.Edited a bit because my initial review was a touch too aggressive.
