Steady and reliable, it's nice and quiet in the evening s and the staff is friendly and food has never been bad, the steaks are great and veggies fresh.
The Jackpot is no doubt the place to go for Chinese Food in Grande Prairie.
After they have been closed for so long. and finally reopened to have a buffet only on Tuesday and Friday, we expected it to be fabulous. for the cost of $22.95 person. we waited some months for them to come back into the swing of the dinge before we tried. we even phoned and asked what was on the buffet menu today before we left. (we were told many homemade salads, ginger beef, garlic garnel, Chinese vegetables, homemade desserts and many other articles. for the salate they had romain salat, a carving Greek salate, looking for container coleslaw, and cottage cheese that it was. for the main buffet they had two containers of chow my (not special, a kind zucchini dish tiny small pieces bark meat, the chiop suey had mainly cauliflower and brokkoli, they had chicken balls, boneless pig pieces, the so-called garlic garnel had shiny on it had not taste evenly plus some of the garnel was fish. simple old chicken roast rice, roasted garlic sausage (real kartoffels, gravure, baked chicken legs and light-to-cheek sticks (which we are not too bad, it is difficult to hurt pieces of chickenwontons cold sacked French fries, that was it. we were actually in shock. oh and the homemade dessert table was in the grunde two types of undercooked Pillsberry cookies, which were disgusting I had to spit out, miniatur costco creme puffs (they were the best things there. they made a kind of raspberry cream chocolate cake that was ok. two bowls with fruit watermelon and honeymelon. oh and two species, but dessert place. a person really needs to look at the buffet before they actually sit down. there was also no suppe no rolls etc. this buffet years ago was fabulous with their homemade salads fresh baking and they are sweet and sour pork and ginger meats were wonderful plus some of the other items on the menu, as the dinge have gone downhill and the older dame there that hangs around the buffet area and once again organizes the dessert food they should be constantly and the foods should be there so it's a couple of years, we tried it, we have a lot too much money for the quality and taste of what was there I definitely say, we won't try or go back ever! I really recommend people when they go, a look at what is on him before they sit, and if they don't like what they see, leave because they have other decisions. considering that they have a buffet only twice a week and they have been closed for so long, they really have no excuse not to use better! and other places and down or four dollars or cheaper ridiculous!
So I'm a little torn, hubby loves eating here, I'm a picky chef. if he has labor teams in the city, he will 'll buy the one 'danke for hard work' meal (pre-Covid hang-out recently we had a few...from out and hubby loves the fixed menu options, I like to mix it, so we order in the rule at least 4 meal times (with us left-overs! overall it tastes good, but can be a bit on the b. during the occlusion the rice was kept either too long or over boiled (not sure what and this simply spoils the experience. I had a few chewing beef me again. I didn't give 5 stars in for it being my personal taste. hubby gives 5 stars. I hope that jpg works well as a small local business in these crazy Covid times.
