Armazem Central - Grândola

I had not been to Armazem Central for 3 years, but I 'm glad to check it still maintains its quality. On weekends you have a good and copiuos buffet for 21€, plus the added value of the singers of the Minas do Lousal group, providing beautiful sound environment for your meal. This time we did not choose the buffet...not the best choice if you are in a hurry, as their focus on weekends is really the buffet. We had a delicious Porco à Burguês which is supposed to be for 2 people, but we actually took the left overs home and had another meal for 2....The only negative point is that it took more than one hour between our order and the food coming to the table....a bit too long. Next time we know better: have the buffet! It is definitely worth getting out of the highway to the Algarve to have a good Alentejo meal...and you are warned...BIG portions!

Great food, great service, canto alentejano live. I believe this singers only come on Saturday. We booked ahead to ensure we had a table available. The restaurant only opened at 12:30, don 't know if it is always like this.

This was the worst experience that I had since a long time !.... Esta foi a pior experiência que já tive nos últimos tempos. We had to wait almost 2h for a very mediocre food....bad bad really bad !

Very nice restaurant with good food and really nice staff. Big portions (one is enough for two people) and really cheap. Also you get to hear the locals sing typical songs from Alentejo considered internacional Heritage (Cante Alentejano).

Very good traditional food in an unique surrounding. In the middle of the old mining area stands this renewed storehouse to welcome visitors. If you come for lunch on Saturday or Sunday you can hear the traditional Alentejo-songs sung by the former workers of the mine. The dishes served, usually serve for two persons.
