Good selection on their website and the meat is super tasty [duh! because it is actual meat and not a bunch of fillers]. My digestive system loves it. They deliver and since I live in Dallas, this is extremely convenient. I buy almost all my meat from Burgundy, its a regular part of my grocery-shopping approach.
I have been buying meat from burgundy pasture beef for over a year, about once a month. I like that the beef is grass fed, not from a feed lot (much healthier! . They also have free range chicken, pork and lamb available. I have never been disappointed with the quality, and I have tried about everything they have. There is more flavor to grass fed meat, and I like the texture a lot better than regular store bought meat too. The kind of fat in free range meat is healthier (it is leaner though, compared to conventional meat . They deliver to the Fort Worth area every other Saturday, and to the Dallas area the other Saturdays, or you can drive down to Grandview to pick up your meat.
Fantastic food, fantastic people. I've been shopping here for the last 7 years or so--you can't find food like this anywhere else in Tarrant County (We live in Fort Worth). The steak is very lean but is the same as that purchased by several area restaurants. The food is as natural/organic as I think you can find locally and is just that: local. All of the beef, chicken, pork, eggs, cheese and occasional vegetables are all locally raised/grown and harvested. I only wish it was more conveniently located--our trips down there end up being more like pilgrimages. Ask for Iva--tell her I sent you. Highly recommended!
To celebrate my husband's birthday, we invited some friends over for a sit-down dinner. I purchased the meat from Burgundy, and our guests were impressed by the taste, tenderness, and quality of the meat. I recommended the store to them, and now they shop there as well. While I haven't used their delivery service due to living about 30 minutes away, I enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside, passing by horse farms and small towns. My husband and I like to visit Burgundy for a delicious burger on weekends. Their burgers stand out in taste and quality compared to other restaurants. The shop is cozy with picnic tables both indoors and outdoors, crafted by a local Mennonite family. The walls are lined with large refrigerator units stocked with beef, pork, chicken, and locally made goods like eggs and cheese. The friendly and helpful staff make the experience even better. Though not as large as a Central Market, Burgundy excels in offering top-notch quality meats and products.
I recently purchased some chicken wings from this restaurant and they were the most juicy and delicious wings I have ever grilled. I am looking forward to trying their other meat options. The customer service was outstanding. While the prices are higher than those at chain grocery stores, the quality is well worth it. I am thrilled to have discovered this place.
