The Monks Bistro - Grange Over Sands

I would have complained about the service, but since there was no reservation made, I can’t. We arrived only to find the place completely closed, and no one answered the phone; it went straight to voicemail. There was no one at the hotel it’s connected to, either. This happened on a Saturday night.

The dining experience was excellent, with exceptional service that made us feel very welcome. Everything was enjoyable, and there was nothing to complain about.

I would like to voice a complaint about the service, but unfortunately, there wasn’t any. I made a reservation and arrived to find the restaurant completely closed. No one answered the phone; it went straight to voicemail, and there wasn’t a soul around in the hotel it's located in. This was on a Saturday evening.

The food was outstanding, the service was exceptional, and everyone made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble.
