Matsukaze Japanese Restaurant

Hidden Gem! This restaurant may not have an extensive menu but its worth visiting over over. One of the best date night restaurants in grants pass, pretty darn kid friendly also! While I'm not a fan of the tempura fried veggies or shrimp, you'll be pleasantly surprised by everything else!

The restaurant is super cute and clean. The host was a very nice gentleman. The waitress was the best I've had so far in Grants Pass. The food was real good. The miso soup is fish base and no seaweed which was really good and not as salty as most here. The Lunch specials are a great selection. They make their dressings and it was super yummy.

My family has loved this place since it opened. My personal favorites are the miso soup, chicken teriyaki, kalbi ribs, and shrimp and vegetable tempura. Maybe it's because I grew up eating these dishes here, but I haven't found a Japanese or Korean restaurant in the U.S. or abroad that I like as much as Matsukaze.

Such an easy go to for a great take home dinner. Haven't had s complaint ever. Food is always excellent, portions are filling, prices are reasonable. California roll, and Gyoza appetizers are a must.

I love this place. The grilling they do on the spicy chicken and the kalbi ribs is so yummy. The service is great here, the prices are not really high and I just wish they were open on Sunday .
