The Wobbly Hog Smokehouse - Grantsboro

This bbq joint has the potential to be something really special, as the food is decent, and the space is large enough they could offer entertainment, but it's like they renovated some parts and forgot the rest? Not that that's stopped me from eating there, but it's kind of off-putting. The brisket is delicious, but the portions have gotten smaller and smaller... Even with sides, it's not nearly enough to fill a person. I'd like to see them finish renovations, raise the price by $2 (if that's what it takes) and stop being so chintzy with the serving sizes.

The food here is absolutely delicious, but the service leaves a lot to be desired! The waitstaff clearly need more training in proper service techniques. No one came by to ensure our order was correct or to see if we needed anything at any point. After finishing our meal, we had to wait a daunting 30 minutes just to receive our bill. If we decide to enjoy their food again, it will likely be for takeout. This place has so much potential, but if they don't improve their service, I fear they might end up like many other failed businesses. I've experienced better service at a slow McDonald's drive-thru! Additionally, we sat down to a dirty table, ate on it, and there was no apology or attempt to clean it from the staff.

I waited a long time for my meal, especially considering there was only one other customer in the restaurant. The smoked chicken was tough and difficult to eat, and the BBQ was dry. The collard greens weren't good either, and the portions were small. I also didn't receive my salad. The menu was quite limited, with no fried chicken available. Additionally, they didn’t have some items that were listed on their online menu. Overall, I found the prices to be too high for the quality and selection offered.

I visit this place every time I'm fishing in Pamlico County. The food is amazing, and the draft beer is always fresh and affordable at just $2.95! Plus, it's located in the same building as the best tackle shop around. I give it all five stars!

We are visiting from out of state and just passing through. The exterior is quite misleading; it looks like a small place, but it’s actually quite spacious inside. The food was fantastic. My daughter loved the mac and cheese so much that she not only asked for seconds but also wanted some to take home. The rest of us enjoyed the chopped BBQ platter, turkey club, and smokehouse burger, all of which were delicious. The fries were excellent too. The service was great, and if we ever find ourselves in the area again, we’ll definitely stop by. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
