My Keurig machine makes a better Americano. I requested an English scone. "We don't have those here," they responded. Hmm, it's listed on your menu, I pointed out.
I recently discovered that a restaurant has been charging customers for a 24oz coffee but only giving them a 20oz cup. This discrepancy has been occurring since November 2020 and continues into January 2021. Despite the menu not indicating a 20oz coffee option, the receipt shows the 20oz price with the 24oz order. When I brought this to the attention of the barista, they apologized and explained that 20oz is their largest size for hot coffee. This misrepresentation seems dishonest and misleading to customers. While the coffee is good and the staff is friendly, I will likely seek my coffee elsewhere due to this issue. Hopefully, they will either update their cup sizes to align with the menu or correct the pricing in their system.
The Java Bean offers a wide selection of coffee and delicious food, however, the owner/manager has a consistently frustrated and angry attitude. When it first occurred, I attributed it to just having a bad day, as we all do. But after experiencing it multiple times, it became clear that this person is not happy in their job. I would genuinely enjoy this charming coffee shop more if I felt more welcomed.
This restaurant in Grantsville is a hidden gem. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is delicious, and their coffee is excellent. They are happy to customize their coffee to your liking. Overall, a great place to visit!
