Great place to visit the heritage section next to the restaurant! I spent about an hour there with my mom as we were traveling through, and it was a great experience.
Discovered this wonderful place a couple months ago. We are traveling and trying to do our trip to arrive at meal time. Had the German buffet yesterday. It took me back to the little German lady on the farm I was raised on. Thank you, BTW, our first visit I bought one of the Bent wood rocking chairs. I LOVE IT.
This is a great kind of hidden gem. The good and service are fantastic, the pricing is awesome. The buffet/salad bar is very surprising. It include salads, desserts, breads and soup. You can add it to your meal for $6 but honestly it's a meal itself. Enjoy.
Kid-friendliness: I had to go 2.5 hrs to visit WVU Hospital. On the way home my son and I wanted to stop for dinner and try something different. It was a 3minute detour and we were very happy we found this gem. Food was amazing, nice atmosphere, waitress was very friendly. I had the turkey dinner and my son had the Roast Beef Dinner. It was authentic homemade cooking! For $48 with two drinks, it came with a salad soup bar, homemade rolls and desserts. I will definitely revisit. 5 stars isn't enough stars.
