Golden Chick - Grape Creek

The Golden Chick here just isn't as good as others I've tried in Texas. Everything needs more seasoning and the chicken texture is just not it. The coleslaw is disgusting. I just threw it away after one bite. The rolls were good. I just prefer other chicken places around town.

Ordered 2 spicy tender combos and they gave me regular and didn’t even give me my fries for both orders either! They need to pay more attention!!

This may surprise you, but Golden Chick really serves up the bestCatfish fillets. Fried fresh to perfection when ordered.However, for the best experience, request a fresh cook up. Even though they will tell you they always cook up the fish fresh. There have been a couple of instances when I forgot to ask for fresh, and I didn't get fresh fish. I simply returned and they happliy remade my order. It doesn't stop me from returning for my favorite combo, paired with a large sweet tea.

I mean, it's fast food. It wasn't great, even the stuff you could tell had sat for a while. They were out of cocktail, but for food fast, it was OK. The staff was efficient and the place was clean.

They were out of some sides, but the fries catfish was delicious.
