I placed my order over the phone and was surprised to find out it was located inside a gas station. Don't let that deter you; this restaurant is far superior to most other Chinese options in the area for the price. I ordered General Tso's chicken with fried rice, and it was impressive—high-quality chicken, a sweet sauce with just a hint of spice, and the perfect amount of sauce. I will definitely be returning!
Don’t be misled by the fact that this restaurant is located inside a gas station; it serves the best Chinese takeout I've found in the area, and the prices are incredibly affordable. You can tell that the vegetables are freshly hand-cut, which really makes a difference. The sauces are flavorful without being overwhelming, and the meat is always tender. I usually skip steamed rice, but I can’t do that here because it’s never sticky or gummy. I did try the fried rice once, and while it was decent, it didn’t compare to the steamed rice. Be sure to order the dumplings—they're fantastic and only $3.99. I’ve really enjoyed the kung pao, Mongolian, and pad Thai dishes as well.
I stored it in the fridge and later heated it up in the microwave. Surprisingly, even after cooling and being reheated (which usually diminishes flavor), the orange chicken was still one of the best I've ever tasted. The rice was cooked just right—not too mushy and not too hard, which is quite an achievement for large batches. Overall, the experience was fast, convenient, and truly delicious. The portions were generous as well. I also appreciated the quality of the containers used for the rice; they are sturdy, thick wax cardboard that is waterproof. I look forward to trying the beef and broccoli next!
My family use to joke about food sold in gas stations. No more. This Wok n Roll is truly worth ordering from. Chinese takeout has always been a competitive market, especially during the pandemic when more sit-down restaurants upped their takeout and delivery business. This store doesn’t have an app but I order online using delivery from their store. Sorry i don’t have pics this time but we’ve ordered many different appetizers and main dishes and have NEVER been disappointed. Unlike many restaurants that cater to the takeout market, the meats are tender, every time. The sauces are delicious and the food is delivered hot. I mean really hot and fresh. I think the food is prepared with care by people who care about what you’re eating.
First time ordering here. My order was done in 10 minutes...great service. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because my Chicken Won Ton soup had no Chicken and no Wontons. All I got was noodles. Other than that...this is a treasure. I have been to PF Changs, Panda Express, PEI Wei and Empress of China and Wok N Roll has them beat for taste, quality, portions and service. Definitely try them, you won't be disappointed.
