This small café is located in the premises of the shop “the gram” and offers a small selection of breakfast, cakes/bakes and...Night-Snacks treats. They have gluten-free bread and some of the baked goods are prepared without flour, but they do not have their own kitchen and the waitress informed me that although great care is taken in preparing gluten-free bread for hygiene, they do not guarantee cross-contamination (so suffering heavy allergies could be cautious). I had a gluten-free (buckwheat) bread with tomato hummus with spices and pesto. They offer it as “Jausenbrot” which is served like a sandwich, and they also offer it as breakfast with a little more pages (bows). The bread is tasteful and juicy, the crust is quite firm, but it is soft in the middle. The topping was a generous help and very filling (especially due to the pesto). Portion size is satisfactory and it is a good value for money. I spoke to the owner of the café about food intolerances and nutritional requirements, it is very knowledgeable and thoughtful and answers all my questions patiently. I will definitely recommend this place due to the high quality of their products and their general philosophy regarding food and healthy nutrition. However, I would like to point out once again that sufferers of severe allergies should judge themselves if they want to try.
