Siam Basil Thai Restaurant

Food was amazing! Best Thai food I have ever eaten!Started with an entree of soft shell crab which was followed by vegetarian spicy fried rice. Got the hottest option which was perfectly balanced with the spices. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. My new favourite dining place!

We had to wait before our order was taken but it was well worth the wait. Drinks and food arrived soon after and was very delicious and surprisingly cheap.Staff were friendly to us and when we arrived the place was close to full. Always a good sign

Excellent Chicken Pad Thai. Good portion size. Wine sold by the glass went OK with meal. Convenient to charge back to hotel room at a small additional cost.

I have had food from here on 3 occasions and it has always been of good quality. The Thai Green Curry was 'yum'

I visited the Asian Basil Thai Restaurant for lunch on a Friday with three work colleagues.We were visiting Dandenong and we decided to eat their due to its great reviews. You know a restaurant is good when the tables are full particularly by other work groups.For entree we ordered the Thai fish cakes which were great tasting and in keeping with traditional fish cake flavours. Our mains consisted of Massaman curry which although tasty I thought it was a on the sweet side with perhaps too much peanut butter in the sauce. Just the same everyone was happy with that dish. We also ordered the pad Thai which was as good as any where else I have eaten it, including Thailand. We finished with the beef stir fry which was also enjoyed by all.I was very happy with the coconut water I ordered which came with soft coconut pieces - yummo!Overall we were happy with the quality of the food. We recommend it as a good eat!Cheers, Paul
