I lived awhile in Japan twice. The maki, Sapporo beer and hot sake brought back great memories. I was blessed to be the guest of family who paid the tab. The prices appeared to me to be such that a visit on my own would be a rare, expensive treat.
The service was excellent, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The food was good but expensive. The appetizers were piled high with shredded carrots and we weren't given plates. We had to clean the sticky table ourselves because it hadn't been wiped down from the previous diners.
Had a delicious meal here. We came right when they opened and we’re seated immediately. We were given drinks and asked if we wanted appetizers. Unfortunately they were out of the Calamari, but that was okay as we came for the specialty sushi. Got three of the specialty sushi: Godzilla, Bomb, and Crab Cake. They’re delicious cooked sushi. Definitely recommend. If you want a raw sushi I recommend the Specialty: Spider. We didn’t have that this time, but we had it for past visits and it was delicious. I judged my boyfriend highly for this, he ordered a burger. He liked sushi… I still don’t get why he did this. But, if you don’t like sushi (or you’re really just craving a burger) you’re in luck! They have very good burgers here and they cook it exactly how you want it. His burger was cooked to medium as requested. The fries were very good. Got the option between regular or sweet potato fries and we took the regular ones. The drinks were great too! Not watered down and the proportions were wonderful. The server did a good job with replacing them when they ran out. Got both a lemonade and a kitty cocktail. Last visit was on September 30th around 4:30pm. The server we had was super kind and attentive. We also noticed that the other servers around us were quite friendly. It was a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. DATE: Came here as a date and it was wonderful. They have tables for 2 people and then also for bigger groups. Family Group: I came here once with a group of 6 and the table space was perfect. We got our food all at the same time and it was all correct. LARGE GATHERING: I’ve also come here with one of the rooms rented out for a group of 20+ and that experience was outstanding. Probably the best large group experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Pricing: I would say pretty good. About $15 for specialty sushi. For all the things I got the bill was about $63. I kind of expected it to be more. For two people and such amazing food, it was worth every penny. Looking for a place? Pick this. 100% pick this. I say it’s the best sushi in town!
