Boondocks Grill - Green Cove Springs

This is our first time here. We were told a 20 minute wait....okay. It's Saturday night, and the parking lot was full, so that was to be expected. I don't mind waiting, but it's a little frustrating when I see 6 empty tables...??? First thing I noticed was that it was cold. I mean cold. Considering I'm usually hot, I can only imagine how bad it must be for the normal people!! Our waitress is friendly, but the service is pretty slow. (Maybe they're all huddled up around the grill trying to get warm). They brought me my side salad (mixed spring greens, cherry tomatoes,cucumbers). It looked really good....just need a fork to eat with !!! Brought our dinner out, and I will say-it was really good. I got the Chicken Tassonaise and it was large enough for 2 meals. The hub's steak was cooked perfectly. Overall, it was a good dinner. I'm sure we'll go back. Just not on a

Every time we go, the service seems to get slower and poorer. I asked for a Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade, which has been on their menu for the longest time. I was told by the server that they don't have all the ingredients. WHAT?!?! They have all the ingredients to make a drink very similar, but what full service bar doesn't have mint, strawberry puree, lemonade, vodka, and sprite or club soda. P.S. Another drink that was ordered at our table was almost identical to this except the mint and sprite. She ordered a sprite and poured it into her lemonade and TaDa! It was ALMOST identical. I'm pretty sure we are done going there. I will miss the live music and the good food. Just not worth the crappy service and the long wait time for the food. (45 mins and we only ordered 2 burgers and a steak)

I came in for Fathers Day and I was surprised to see it wasn't that busy but I was happy it wasn't since most places are packed. The restaurant itself has a great rustic theme, it was very clean and was a perfect place to be with a group or family . The outside had a live musician and great happy hour specials. The shrimp n grits were tasteful and the medium and garlic parm wings had a nice flavor. Our waitress was grear and the manager stopped by to check on us. Restaurant was on point, I will be back for sure!

I am checking out different places to eat before my wife comes to town and stopped here to see how the food is. I was seated quickly and my waitress was very attentive. I ordered the fried porkchops, mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese. I received my food in 10 minutes. The food was very good. Gravy and chop batter a little salty. But I'm a low carb eater this is a splurge. I thinks it is just me. I overheard next to me the steak was not done enough immediately the manager came and rectified and apologized. I was very impressed. The decore is very nice environment was great many families. I will for sure bring my wife back to this eatery.
