Hungry Howies - Green Cove Springs

The pizza was hot, the cheese was gooey, and it looked great—it tasted amazing, too! I do have a few minor complaints: the sign at the door needs to be replaced, the prices seem a bit high, and the restaurant is a bit small. However, my overall experience was very positive.

I consistently order the cheese bread, and it’s always a delight. The service is excellent—prompt, flavorful, and the staff treats customers with kindness, especially those at the front counter. My only minor issue has been occasional encounters with the delivery drivers over the years, but those instances seem more related to individual drivers than the company as a whole, and I haven’t had any issues in quite a while.

I absolutely adore this place! There are five pizzerias in town, but I would drive past them all just to get some Hungry Howie's. If you're not in the mood for pizza, their Italian sub is an excellent choice. Everything is always fresh, well-prepared, and I’ve never been disappointed. I've also ordered delivery multiple times, and I've always had a great experience. It's so affordable that I can even manage it in this tough economy. Without a doubt, it’s the best pizza in The Cove, especially since Pizza King is no longer around.

When I ordered our pizza, my confirmation said it would take about 55 minutes. Pizza was in our house within 30 minutes and was hot and fresh. Delivery guy also super nice. Great experience as usual.
