Well, the food may not be the healthiest. Taco John's has saved me many a time's during long work days. The staff friendly ready to go. Walk-in and drive-thru service. One of the cleanest bathrooms on Saddle Creek. It gets a little busy during the lunch hour, but never once experienced poor service because they were busy. Good spot to stop for a quick bite to eat.
Everything was good about this experience except them forgetting one of my potato oles. Otherwise usually a pretty solid place to grab a bite.
The Tacos are smaller. The prices are higher. But the nostalgia is still there. Taco John's was the consumate taco purveyor in the late 60s and early 70s. Loved there generous portions and great quality. Nothing is the same these days. But give them a try. For old times' sake.
I ordered 2 of the 4-chese STEAK quesadilllas. I even repeated it; but I got 2 4-chese quesadillas. even for that...they were disappointing @best. I haven't been to Taco John's in a very long time bc the only 2 times I've been there, they've messed my order up. Sadly, not much has changed. I'm glad @least they didn't put any sour cream on my burrito this time. the Potato Ole's were delicious.
