West Winds - Green River

I've been dining at this restaurant for years, but I stopped by the other day and was disappointed. The food was quite subpar. The waitress took my order and delivered my meal and check, but never returned to check on me. It seems the menu has been cut in half, possibly due to new ownership. They used to have a pork green chili sauce that was absolutely fantastic, but that's no longer the case. I don't think I'll be returning.

It's unfortunate that this restaurant closes at 2 PM. I was passing through and arrived just five minutes before closing time. I appreciated that they took my order, but the burger I received didn't meet my expectations—it was dry and overcooked. The fries also tasted stale. I could sense some tension from the staff, which felt like a reaction to my late arrival. Perhaps if I come back in the morning, I'll encounter a more welcoming staff and better food.

The waitress was incredibly kind, and I really appreciated her warmth. However, I have to say (coming from Texas) that I had the worst chicken fried steak I've ever experienced here. I wouldn't recommend spending your money on it.

Don't waste your time and money here. Staff just sitting around Playing cards. After I was seated I was ignored. 15 mins to take my order and I was the only one there. Only when I got up to leave did they come over. The breakfast I ordered wasn't great either. Once the food finally came they never came by to check on me or fill my empty coffee. I stood up at the cash register to get their attention and it was to much of a bother for me to pay, I guess I interpreted their conversation. Closes at 2. There are other options in town avaible keep driving.

I stayed at the Travelodge next door and got a 10% discount. The service was excellent and the Traditional Breakfast was excellent. A must stop for breakfast when in the area!
