Gotta ' try this hidden gem. Truly is a shack with an eclectic ambiance. Seafood is ok. We had a broiled crabcake basket and fried oyster basket. Hand cut Boardwalk fies and coleslaw are great. The meal started with Maryland Cream of Crab Soup. Flavor was amazing but no lump crab meat. Mostly shredded/flaked. Same with lumpless crabcake. Fried oysters had a very heavy batter and a bit overcooked. Servers were very nice and cordial. You will enjoy the overall experience.
Stopped by for lunch for 4 of us. Decent atmosphere, well established local fare and customers. Started off with crab dip and crabby fries as an appetizer very good and tasty. Tried the Cajun flounder basket with homemade cucumber onion and green beans sides excellent taste and flavor. The seafood quesadilla was very good as well with shrimp and local crab very good as well. The cajon catfish basket was excellent as well just enough seasoning to make it an excellent choice. Will definitely be back.
It ranks as one of those dive seafood shacks in looks but delivers an amazing taste experience. Cream of crab soup was perfection, a huge portion with the exact right amount of old bay and crab. We both got the fried oyster basket, mine with fresh cut fries and beets, his with side salad and cole slaw. Came with 7-8 large oysters flash fried with a coating that didn't take over. The homemade tarter sauce was addicting. By far the best oysters I have ever eaten, the fries were delicious and can be topped with their crab dip for a small charge. Deserts are homemade and today's choices were German Chocolate or Coconut cake and blueberry pie which came home with me for later. The side salad was skipable as it was iceberg with a little tomato and a sprinkle of cheese and croutons, just a bit ordinary. Our second time eating here and it will be a solid forever stop when we visit Chincoteague Island. I didn't get any food pics except the take home pie but I did grab a few of the atmosphere.
Food was fabulous. Prices were great. Service (Sue) was perfect but the bathroom was my favorite part
