The Fluttering Duck - Greencastle

After waiting for nearly an hour we finally got our food, my wife's wasn't correct. we were told by the waitress that she didn't know why it took so long but she'd try to get another one faster. they weren't even close to busy and we've had the same problem on other occasions. we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Typical bar food. Food was good, service was as well.

Free parking across the street. You have your choice of dining in or outside. Very classy atmosphere and friendly wait staff. I ordered the Creamy Mushroom Soup and Chicken Alfrado. Food was filling and full of flavor. Fairly priced. Parking: Free parking lot across the street. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramps from the road all the way to your seat.

We ate here recently when we were visiting DePauw with our grandson. It was mostly empty around noon on a weekday, so we had no trouble being seated right away. We were here with our daughter and her two children (our grandchildren). We were pleased that there was something here for all of us since our food preferences vary a great deal. This entire facility is nice and I am wondering if this building also serves as a convention center for Greencastle, DePauw, or both? The Duck has an interesting décor and the food service was good. Oh, and the prices are very good as well, compared to what we might have paid for five of us back in Carmel or Indianapolis.
