Overboards - Greene Township

Overboards remains my top choice for dining in the Greentown area of Lake Wallenpaupack. Even with new ownership since Fall 2023, the food and service continue to impress, largely thanks to Chef Lou who is still in charge of the kitchen. While seafood is the star of the menu, there are also excellent steak, pork, and chicken dishes available. The scallops are the best in the region. The restaurant has expanded its hours and is now open Thursday through Monday. The service is fantastic, and I recommend asking for Brenda as your server. Be sure to make a reservation during busy times, especially now through summer, as the restaurant can get quite crowded, although Monday evenings are typically quieter.

Our server, Lisa, was energetic and attentive, and a friendly young man took our drink orders. The oysters from Virginia were tasty, and the salmon on hash browns appetizer was quite generous. I believe my husband's flank steak was the standout dish of the evening. The scallops were fresh, but the Thai mango sauce was a little on the sweet side. Others at the table enjoyed the chicken and seafood stew as well. The cozy atmosphere, enhanced by old pine boards, made for a lovely setting. Overall, all six of us had a great experience!

Just went back with family visiting, and again everything was fantastic. Our server was great, helpful and very attentive and kind. The food was excellent. I forgot to take a picture of the calamari appetizer but it was delicious. Tasted so fresh we felt like we were at a beach town. You really can't go wrong choosing Overboards.

We dropped by the best restaurant in the Wallenpaupack area for a quick dinner before getting to the lake. As always a very warm welcome from Chris, and another great evening. I had the Ossobuco, which I've had so many times because it's so delicious. The service and food is spot on. Thank you.

Food and service was excellent. The facility could use a little TLC but don't let that keep you from going!
