Hops Burger

Mushroom Swiss burger had a delicious sauce on it; I like that they don’t up charge for a side salad (instead of fries) like many competitors. Can be busy; we did take out with kids. Beer selection looked good Parking: Small parking lot in front but across the street is additional parking (follow the sign)

I absolutely love Hops Burger Bar. I used to visit the Winston Salem location weekly and was disappointed when it closed. Recently, I discovered there are two locations in Greensboro, so my friends and I planned a lunch date there. The menu brought back so many memories with its great choices. I started with the fried green tomatoes, which come with goat cheese, pimento cheese, bacon, and jalapeño ranch. I ordered mine without bacon. They were delicious and set a great tone for the meal. For my main course, I ordered one of my favorites, the tuna steak salad. The salad includes mandarins, mango jalapeño salsa, and wonton strips for some crispiness. I ordered my tuna medium, and the salad comes with a soy ginger vinaigrette that pairs perfectly with a dollop of wasabi aioli. This salad is delicious, even though I’m not typically a big salad fan. Hops also has a great drink selection. One of their specials, the watermelon jalapeño reposado, caught my eye. Served in a tajin-rimmed glass, the drink had a great balance of spicy and sweet. My friends ordered some delicious-looking burgers, and we all left happy with full bellies. Hops is one of my favorite spots, and I’m so happy I ventured out to Greensboro to reignite my love for this place. I will definitely be back.

Great experience here. Burgers were 10/10. Beer was so good! Reasonably priced, not too expensive. Ambience was great too! There was a bit of a wait so be sure to account for that, though you can be seated at the bar while waiting (first come first serve).

We had a big group of 9 and the host and hostess were great about it and communicated clearly on the time amount it may take for us to get a table. Even with it completely packed we were seated within 10 minutes of our whole group arriving. The food was amazing. And the whole staff was great and on it with such a huge crowd! Also, to mention our whole group was not from Greensboro so it was such a great experience for us all. Thank you for making our Army reunion so great for us
