Grey's Tavern - Greensboro

From the city of florida and tried greys tavern. eating was different from what I'm used to (step fired chicken), but good. I called to go and the dame was not the kindest (only ground for the 4 stars). Once I let her know we were out of town, she was more friendly. great location!

Just called to place a pick up order and whomever answered said in an unfriendly tone “We’re not taking pick up orders this afternoon” and as I was mid-sentence in my next question, she hung up on me. The food is great, but the attitude of the staff will make you think twice. Edit: Just saw some of the other low rated recent reviews for this establishment and I’m not surprised others have experienced what they did. I felt that negative energy both times I visited and during my phone call. I’ll keep my money in my pockets, no thanks.

They charge $10 per person to come into the bar on Saturday nights and one of the bouncers was super rude. He walked by me and said I couldn’t come in because I was wearing camouflage, no explanation just kept walking. I had to ask one of the other bouncers if he was being serious or if he was joking. He kinda snickered and said yeah. If you’re going to have a dress code, you should post it. When I was walking away to leave there was another girl they didn’t let in for the same thing, it was weird.

Update, Update. After sleeping on it, I think the heavy set blonde and skinny brunette bartender don 't know the difference (or worse they 're prejudice) between someone who is intoxicated and someone who is just always very expressive because they 're neurodivergent......thought people in 2022 were more educated on things like that. Rolled into Grey 's tavern after natty greens didn 't have the Arkansas v Alabama game on and was initially so excited, but everything went down from there. Preface, my electricity had been out 21hrs and I was super excited to see the game, power came back before kickoff but I decided to grab a beer and was hoping for food too during the game. Long story short, I was asked to leave after half of a beer because I was harassing the customer ie literally having an exceptionally calm conversation with a Bama fan. The way things were handled were unacceptable for a real establishment. Update, friend wanted food from there so I sat at a table away from everyone so they could order food from the bar and the bartenders immediately called the cops on me claiming I 'd been there 3 times, as earlier repeated, I 'd been there once for maybe 30 min, cops came, had zero issues with me, nor did they think I was drunk, oh yeah, because I wasn 't. Obviously we didn 't order food, will never be back, and don 't recommend anyone ever go there.

Very nice bar and barbecue..clean and spacious. the bartender was friendly and accommodating..I had a veggie pita, with baked beans than my side. it was delicious. I will definitely return!
