Jason’s Deli a nice place for lunch. They have interesting options and the service is good. They even have a salad bar and an soft serve ice cream machine. My wife and I got a tuna sandwich and a baked BBQ chicken potato. My wife liked it but in my opinion, it all tasted like hospital food. I didn’t taste any seasoning on any of the food. But, we did get a couple of yummy ice cream cones at the end.
Service was okay. I ordered the Reuben which came with chips. Jason's deli chips were borderline stale or so it seemed. The best by date was over a month away. They just didn't have the snappy chip feel I'm used to from a chip. The beef was sliced thick which wouldn't be a deal breaker normally if it wasn't so chewy. I was really struggling to tear through it. My friend's california came missing tomato and had mushy strawberries. The fountain drink mix seemed off. Not undrinkable but not pleasing either. All that would have been fine if we didn't shell out almost 25 bucks for a meal for two at a counter purchase restaurant.
$45 for 3 people. My husband and I both got the salad bar. No meats at all on the bar. The lettuce was sitting wet in ice water. The ice cream machine has been broken for 5 weeks! I was going to get chocolate pudding on the salad bar but the only pudding left was what was left on the spoon. My soup was delicious. Very dip’s appointing over all.
Before covid I loved Jason’s deli, now I do not. New management is rude (guy with long dreads), the salad bar is never stocked, bad produce, and only 1 trip for about 10$. I used to come here everyday in 2019, it’s so different now, the food and service is just not good anymore.
