Ripe Thing Market - Greensboro

I absolutely loved this restaurant! They offer delicious homemade soups and sandwiches, and their market area is fantastic as well. While visiting from out of town, a local recommended this spot to us while we were shopping for women's dresses near Lake Oconee. We ended up purchasing hot sauce, pecans, fried peanuts, and some sweet treats. We also tried their soup of the day, which was outstanding. The next time I’m in the area, I will definitely make it a point to eat here again. This place is truly a local gem!

It's time for me to update my review. The restaurant has a new owner, and the atmosphere is definitely different. The store is filled with intriguing products and a wide variety of options. However, be aware that prices are quite high. They still offer soups and some sandwich choices for lunch. The produce is fresh and mostly sourced from local farms. Additionally, there is a large refrigeration section featuring cheeses and a selection of frozen meats.

A friend at Dell Webb recommended that we visit the market on our way home, and I'm so glad we did! It’s a fascinating place with a wide variety of things to see and taste. We sampled some banana nut bread, and it was absolutely delicious. The woman managing the market was really friendly and helpful. Overall, we were thrilled that we decided to stop by!

Absolutely love this place. Relocating from a large city I appreciated the friendly and helpful attention. Fried peanuts?!! WTH?! Delicious is all. Chocolate covered honey comb--amazing! You ever eat something that you would have preferred differently but was still really good? This is what I thought about the chicken and dumplings. The dumplings were thinner than I prefer as was the broth. But it was still very tasty. I 'm sure I will be returning here often--if not just to say; Hey Ya 'll!

Neat spot but 11$ for a couple pieces of bread and cold cuts did I wake up in NYC??? Highway robbery!
