The not so good: the chicken on the grilled chicken salad was very bland. The horseradish dressing also brand. Buffalo cauliflower was much too salty. Entrees are quite pricey. Service was very rushed even though the restaurant was empty. They wanted us to leave so that the dishwasher could go home and they could close a few minutes early.
This is the nicest and classiest restaurant in Greenville. They offer a great lunch menu as well as dinner. The wraps are the best for lunch! Onion rings and cheese sticks are great! The servers are wonderful and the atmosphere is warm. You don't need reservations, but on weekends they do appreciate it.
Visited on a First Friday (a downtown Greenville attraction for an early dinner before the crowds hit the streets. Open attractive environment. Servers were friendly, though not necessarily around all the time. (Oddly, I was in a side wall booth, and the two booths in front and back, and I, all had three separate servers. Decently diverse menu. I had the bistro fries as an appetizer, and the steak sandwich. The fries are diced potatoes, covered with ranch, cheese, and bacon. A little skimpy on the ranch, but I liked it. The steak sandwich was very good. Will definitely try again.
During our visit from out of town, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. The restaurant is spacious and adorned with intriguing decorations. The highlight of our experience was the food. The menu boasts a diverse selection, making it difficult to decide. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. He ordered the Bourbon chicken while I opted for the overstuffed potato. The dishes were delicious, and we have already added this place to our list of must-visit restaurants when we return to Greenville.
Not sure how previous reviewer could call this place classy. It 's an odd atmosphere. Almost a 50s car theme with tables with nice linens. The menu is extensive. Service was fine. Food, not so great. We both ordered sandwiches. The buns were falling apart making it impossible to eat them as sandwiches. Falling apart because stale. Sandwiches came with chips- nothing special about them. One of us had the buffalo chicken sandwich- thin, breaded, and greasy. The other ordered the steak sandwich. It was flavorless, tough and looked steamed instead of seared. The steak was too thickly cut for a sandwich. It was sent back. The waitress removed it from the bill after a long discussion with the manager (I assume it was a manager, the discussion took place in our view). I heard the manager say it 's not my fault of she doesn 't like it . Great customer service! No manager came to check or apologize. Will not be returning. Couldn 't wait to get out of that place. Best part was the beer- nice and cold.
