Placed a take-out order on the computer inside as soon as I came home noticed that my Pita was missing as well as the feta. Chicken was also not on a spear or in large pieces as on the picture, but shredded. I also had tomatoes in the Gyro asking without being. Baklava wasn't bad. Overall, there are better Mediterranean options in the region.
The worst Mediterranean food we ever had. The portions were small and does not taste good at all. The sauces they used seemed not freshly made. Chicken was hard and chewy as if it was reheated repeatedly. Rice was flavorless.
I got the meat gyro, which I loved (sorry, had to have a bite before the picture . I also ordered the tabouli salad. They make it with quinoa instead of bulgar wheat. I wasn't a big fan, not because of the quinoa, but I thought it needed way more parsley. My wife ordered a shawarma bowl that she wasn't crazy about (hence only 4 stars! . I would go back for the gyro!
This is definitely the best gyro in the area. I have had plenty of Greek restaurants in Chicago, and this one really reminds me of those. The rice and grilled veggies were delicious, and you can taste that the meat was freshly cut from the spit. It wasn't too greasy, which I really appreciated. The pita was also excellent.
The gyro at this restaurant was excellent. I was surprised because the restaurant looks like a chain, but I'm not sure if it actually is. It was good regardless. The price for the gyro and a drink was around $15, but I thought it was worth it. The meat was freshly sliced from a spinning wheel and grilled on a flat top, which added to the delicious flavors.
