I understand that there may be staffing issues currently, but I would have appreciated having my water refilled at least once, especially considering the saltiness of my food. I would be willing to return in the future to give it another try.
The food and beer were delicious. However, the waitress had a terrible attitude and made it evident to everyone at our table. All of us who were dining that night complained about the waitress's bad attitude and were shocked by how unpleasant she was. I called and spoke to the manager about our experience. Sadly, we will not be returning as this dinner was meant to be a special celebration for my youngest son's recent college graduation, but it was completely ruined by the waitress's negative demeanor.
This was one of the best German restaurants that my husband and I have ever been to since returning from Europe. The Weiner schnitzel was excellent and we suggest you try the country potatoes. And save room for the Apple Strudel! We loved the great service, cozy atmosphere, very untypical of German knock off places. This was very tasteful. Would suggest for a date night or romantic dinner or special lunch. If you've never had German food, this is the place to go. The bar was really cool as well. The attention to detail was amazing: from the cloth tablecloths to the presentation of the food and dessert, no detail was missed. Highly recommend
We’ve been wanting to eat here for years and planned dinner here for Valentines weekend. The restaurant was decorated so beautiful. Our waitress was very dry and not the most friendly. My salad before dinner was really good. Waitress brought out a cold appetizer she said was complimentary. Dinner came and my dates dinner was not what he ordered but before I could say anything the girl who brought the plates had ran off. When we got the attention of our waitress to fix the problem it was about 7 minutes before his plate came and we could finally eat. My salmon was very good. I figured because of the confusion we would be offered a coffee or dessert. I felt very disappointed when we left with how the night went there. Probably won’t return here.
If you're a fan of German cuisine, this restaurant is very authentic. There are plenty of options to choose from and the desserts are delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and even had a relaxing experience I wasn't expecting. The waitress was friendly and humorous, making the service exceptional. The atmosphere is upscale and the decor is beautiful. I would describe it as a luxurious European garden. The only downside for me was the price. The restaurant was quite empty, which is understandable given the high cost. My partner and I spent over $70 for two entrees and a small $4 dessert. While the portions were generous, I couldn't help but feel that the prices were inflated. The dishes seemed simple and inexpensive to make, yet they were priced at $25-30 each. In my opinion, the food wasn't worth the price, especially considering that German dishes can easily be made at home. The only aspect that was worth the money was the dessert.
