I’ve been debating posting this review but I really want the owners to know that first impressions make a difference. It was my families first time going to Turk Lake after hearing good things. Sad to say it will be our last. We arrive and we are one of two tables in the entire establishment. We are greeted with someone telling us to take a seat anywhere. We find a nice large booth and go sit at it. Our server (I believe her name was Amy) eventually comes over and passive aggressively says “So actually this section is closed……. Kinda why the lights are off”. Wouldn’t have been such a big deal to move had she been apologetic and asked us. But the rudeness was just too much. We move seats to a much smaller booth. We place our order and shortly after it is delivered to us. Our appetizer never arrived so we asked if we were still getting it. Our server said “Oh” and disappeared for a minutes, bringing back very undercooked deep fried pickles. No apologies (sensing a pattern here), she sets them down and mentions she doesn’t know how that was missed. Food was alright, same Gordon’s stuff you find everywhere around here but overall no complaints about our meals besides the pickles (Although I assume they’d be better if not rushed due to them being forgotten). But the lack of service was just too much for us to want to give the restaurant another try for a while.
Had good chicken tacos during quick luncheon stopover. Fast service. Friendly server. Place is loud with many folks there. No soft surfaces to absorb sounds. Still, I'd go back.
Nice atmosphere, sat outside by the lake. Went with a friend they brought her shrimp meal out My chicken sandwich came over 5-10 minutes later. Waitress said they lost my sandwich ???When I finally got my meal, the bun was so much bigger than the chicken. $10.95 for JUST the sandwich, Fries were $1.75 more.does the picture look like a $10.95 piece of meat?? Well mostly breading. At least the view was great! If I go back because she lives nearby, I would definitely get something else.I do NOT recommend the breading on a bun.
Really nice place right on Turk lake. Really good food... great burittos just the right size, crispy fish and chips. They have a huge dining room plus and outside dinning right on the lake. You can get dinner and a drink for under $20.
