The gear there is overpriced big-time and the service there is mediocre at best. The sandwiches at one point we're good but now you could find a better sandwich in a corrections facility.
Super friendly staff, good vibe, and good, if small, selection of boards and gear. I called a day ahead to demo a board and they immediately knew the options and had a recommendation for me. When I showed up the next day before I even said anything they said Hey, I bet your the guy who called about the 165 demo. They set me up and had me on my way in less than 10 minutes. While they put the bindings on the tech chatted with me about the board, other brands, and snowboarding in general. Big labrador wandered around and let me give him a pet (he was laying on the couch when I left). Cool place.
Friendly owner and barista. try the turkey bacon melt, it impressed my 14 yo enough to ask me to rate them 5 stars on yelp .
This is the closest snowboard shop on the way to Crystal Mountain, we were going to get one day at Crystal so called them ahead of time to confirm they rent boards, no problems. Call them Saturday to confirm they are open the next day and renting boards. Yep, we're open, it's last day of the season and we will rent boards. Get there at 9AM Sunday, turns out they don't feel like renting boards because they want to go home early. I could have rented from other shops had these guys been upfront but was now stuck with worn out junk the mountain rents. Untrustworthy, avoid spending any money at this place.
We stopped by this place on our way home from hiking in the wilderness to buy snacks and hot drinks. Because we hiked in the wilderness we carried handguns. Once at the store, we saw that they also sell some clothing and decided to look at the jackets. We selected one $200) and were thinking about purchasing it, as employee noticed holstered handgun on my husband and ordered us to leave immediately. I asked why and she started yelling that guns are not allowed at their store, although there were NO posted signs anywhere by entrance about firearms. I tried telling her that we just want to purchase the $200 jacket and drinks with snacks, but she was yelling and screaming Gun! Leave So, we left the store and the owner of the store lost over $200 that day because we were not allowed to spend our money there. In addition, the owner lost us as customers, as well as our friends, forever. By the way, we drive through this town twice a week.
