Our family enjoys this little neighborhood place, but must admit that the service is been on the decline for a while now...never really bad, but definitely not great. We try to note that attitudes are usually good, but often understaffed servers that don't stay long. We hope they don't lose their appeal for these reasons.
It took about 10 mins for us to even be acknowledged by anyone after being sat. we had to ask our Waitress for things numerous times. Our food came out cold (Steak and green chile). We told the lady and she got us a new chili. The cup was now only half full. One of our plates had a lot of leftover burnt food stuck to the plate. when the waitress told the manager, we could see her rolling her eyes and getting an attitude about it. The whole experience was so bad that we won't be back.
Recently visited the Dusty Boot for the first time. I liked the fact that the menu offered many choices such as steaks, salads, burgers, tacos . . . something for everyone. While we did not have an appetizer that evening, there looks to be several that I would try the next time I went like Southwestern egg rolls, ahi tuna tacos and a few other things. My husband got prime rib and it was a generous size but just a little too much fat on it. I had the shrimp tacos which were mediocre. Probably wouldn't get them again but would go back to try other things.
Took over a half hour to get our drinks, out appetizers came out only partial, ask for 4 waters got 2 because glasses weren't available. All in all very poor dining experience. Prime rib sandwich had very little meat. Best part of the meal was the salad.
This is a reliable spot for some good food at reasonable prices (and you can get solid steak at higher tier prices as well). It has a nice neighborhood feel and a great view of the front range from the patio. We'll keep coming back for sure.
