I especially enjoy dining here during Christmas. I ordered the Panoma Fish, which was served in a ginger and black garlic sauce, and the scallions added a delightful flavor. The restaurant was quite busy on Christmas day.
The cooking here is fresh and flawless. The flavors and textures are both authentic and delightful. If I had to offer a slight critique, it would be that they might use a bit too much thickener in their sauces. However, I had the best braised pork belly of my life—tender, rich, and served on a bed of smoky, crispy bok choy. The ambiance is classy, and the staff is friendly and approachable. There’s a reason this place has been recommended to me so many times, and I can confidently say I was not let down!
Finally, authentic Chinese cuisine in Denver! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I relocated to the Boulder area from Boston two and a half years ago and have sampled numerous Chinese restaurants, but this is the first one that offers both authenticity and a wide variety of menu options. Just a heads up, there are two menus: one for American-style dishes and another for authentic Chinese cuisine. We ordered the beef in hot chili oil and cellophane noodles with pork from the "Chinese" menu, and it was outstanding! If you want genuine flavors, stick to the "Chinese menu." Given the quality of what we tried, I'm sure their Americanized dishes are also impressive. Just so you know, there are more options available at the restaurant than what you see on the website. I just wish we didn’t live 45 minutes away! But it’s definitely worth the trip.
I recently visited Denver's highest-rated Chinese restaurant of 2021, as recognized by 5280 and Westword, and I was definitely impressed by their dual menus featuring both American-Chinese and traditional Chinese dishes (the traditional menu is shown in the picture). The selection was fantastic! We ordered xiao long bao (soup dumplings), guo tie (fried dumplings), minced pork with eggplant, "big plate chicken," baby bok choy, and a pork and tofu soup. While the food was tasty, I couldn't help but wonder: is this truly the best in Denver? It looks like my search continues!
This is a fantastic Chinese restaurant! They offer two menus—an American menu and a Chinese menu. The Chinese menu features more authentic and, in some cases, adventurous dishes that you won’t find on the American menu. I highly recommend trying the twice-cooked pork belly with spicy cabbage and the Singapore noodles.
