The Copper Eagle is a quaint little coffee shop in the historic mining town of Greenwood, “Canada's Smallest City” with incorporation dating back to 1897. It’s located in a two-story heritage building built in 1899 and is the perfect rest stop to stretch the legs, refresh with a gourmet cuppa and have something tasty to eat. There’s a delicious looking selection of freshly baked bread and treats, and the people who work the counter are genuine and friendly. A welcoming place of small town charm. A stroll down Copper Street is worth seeing the heritage sites and antique shops and learn about the rich history of the area. Look to where the vehicles with out-of-province plates are pulled over with the old red vintage car parked out front and that’s the place! Note: They open early at 6am and close early at 4pm!

Delicious baked goods. While driving through Greenwood the Copper Eagle bakery is a must stop for anyone who loves a good cup of full bodied coffee. The baking is phenomenal. We purchased a walnut covered cinnamon bun and couple of butter tarts and a few pepperoni bread sticks. Everything was fresh and delicious. The pepperoni bread sticks were a hit with both my husband and son. Who wanted more....but sadly we won't be back until next year.<br/ Service was fast and friendly even when a line up quickly formed behind us.<br/ <br/ Would recommend this small town coffee shop to all who are fortunate enough to drive past their door. Such a beautiful main street, looking forward to next years road trip already.
Get the buttertarts!. I hate raisins and avoid baked goods containing them. However, the buttertarts at Copper Eagle Bakery are outstanding! I might add, they contained very few raisins which was great for me and the pastry was light and flaky. Do not leave Greenwood without having the buttertarts! Seriously!
Must stop by!. This place offers great coffee's when there is no Starbucks in sight in fact I prefer their coffee.Be sure to sample any and all of their baked goods. Pie is always a winning choice! Great for a winter treat as well on your way to surrounding ski hills.
