Gasthof Strudengau - Grein

We were doing the Danube Bike path and that day, Grein was our destination. No idea where we could stay so we asked at the local pizza house. We were directed to this wonderfully chaotic and welcoming place. Chaotic because they'd had a big party the night before and some of the guests had only just left (4 in the afternoon). The lady who ran the place hadn't slept - so she said. She was so delightfully disorganised that we believed her. But she's a professional and we were sorted out in double quick time. Then ordered the first of many beers. The point I'm making is that this is more an experience than just a place to stay. If you want to shrink into a corner with a half of lager, this is not the place for you. The rooms are interesting - big and sparse. And the biggest spider I've ever seen. Some are away from the road. Nice breakfast. Although this is classified as a restaurant - it's a hotel with food.

Wir haben sehr schlecht zu Abend gegessen. Die Bedienung war leicht überfordert und die Wirt sehr unfreundlich. Ein Bier zu zapfen hat länger gedauert als die Zubereitung eines Palatschinkens.Wir können diese Gaststätte nicht weiter empfehlen
