Ihop - Gretna

We arrived tonight when we wanted to. So we only had two options for food. The food was fine. Everything we ordered was just as expected. However, the entire floor was slippery as Snot. From the front door to the back. All, including staff, slide everywhere. Even in the bathroom. So many people have almost fallen. The waitress was super sweet and did her best. Thank you for the birthday I have for my cousin creme. We were her first guest of her shift. It started as we were gone. Stop there waitress! 1 Table at a time. Happy Birthday cousin Lisa. We will celebrate more tomorrow!!!

The food was really good, but the service was okay. The waitress we had had to sit down because the host has delivered us like 5 times and nothing. Even other servers looked at us and didn't even sit on us.

We went early this morning and were the only people in place. The hostess sat and disappeared and we never saw another person. After 15 minutes we can see if we could find someone. We could hear the staff laughing in the kitchen, but couldn't see anyone, so we realized they didn't care about our business and went. Not like any IHop I've ever done.

The prices here are outrageous. They charge $5 for every drink, whether it’s lemonade, sweet tea, or coffee. A children's burger costs $12.99, and the waitress we had was not helpful at all; she was rude. It felt like she treated us poorly, possibly because we were Spanish and had trouble understanding the bill. In total, we spent $136 for two adults and three children. That’s absurd! For that amount, I could eat at a much better restaurant.

I love the service. The servers are friendly and polite and take care of the customers. However, the building really needs an overhaul. There is a strange smell, it is not appetizing and the seats are worn, the tables are discolored. I think these ladies and gentlemen deserve a better building. The only reason for the four stars and not five is because of the building. The crew at the IHOP in Gretna Louisiana from the Oakwood Center keeps up the great work.
