It is up on a hill, so save some energy for the last bit, if you come by bike. Wonderful showers and a decent amount of toilets, cleaned with dedication daily. Best thing was if you walk away from the campground and city, there is a wonderful forest bath circuit on a hill nearby. I had a great time there.
Large pitch and the price is affordable. Warm shower is included. The café in the camping place has a good atmosphere. The surroundings are green and peaceful. However, it is possible to hear the traffic during the day because the highway is not that far away. It does not bother me though.
Can’t give full 5* due to the steep hill leading up to the site. If you are walking or cycling (we came in motorhome) this really is a steep climb back to camp unless you are lazy and fat with an e-bike. The site is quiet and boring, which is ok for couple days. No pool. The town of Ettlebruck is 15min walk but very hard on way back! Train station and bus services are excellent and all free so exploring Luxembourg is very easy from here. Restaurant was popular but we didn’t try. You can order bread before 4pm for morning delivery
Nice and relatively quiet campsite with friendly owners. No pool or other amenities so no noisy groups, which is a plus for us. Excellent playgrounds, so good for children. The road did not bother us at all on the upper terrace. Good walking routes from the campsite with lots to see (we saw a large family of red kites, also falcons, deer, foxes, etc). Walking distance to a good supermarket and other shops. Two small points for improvement: no quiet times were communicated or enforced; our British group of neighbours would drive their large cars to and from their caravans at all hours, shout to each other and have a noisy dinner outside at 2am, etc; also no EV charging points, although there would be plenty of scope for this given the many unused electricity points in the parking lot.
Lovely atmosphere , three !!! Playgrounds, a volleyball field with soft beach like sand, making it a superb sand box for children ; Pitches not to large but we had one overlooking the playground which was a blessing. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant and or have a drink outside on the patio, but it looked very appealing and we are definitely coming back. Note: we found this camp site through park4night and were surprised to find almost only Dutch families here.
