This is an incredible store with a vast selection of products, including zero waste items, yoga mats, freshly baked bread, vegan cheese, and other hard-to-find goods. I will definitely be a regular customer here!
Mountain Creek Wholefoods in Griffith is arguably the best-stocked eco-conscious store I've ever visited! The selection is unparalleled. The curry brown rice ball with sweet chili sauce is simply divine! The flavors are so delicate yet easily identifiable. The brown rice salad is light and fresh! The ingredients taste like they were just picked this morning, and all of this for only $12. You must visit; I promise you won’t regret it!
Additionally, they stock whole foods and grains, including soy products, teas, coffees, and milk alternatives (such as goat's milk and non-pasteurized options). They also carry a selection of popular seeds and grains like chia seeds, maca, quinoa, raw cacao, lucuma, and more. The store offers sustainably produced vegan and/or organic clothing and baby products, including dresses, slings, and diapers. Finally, they have a café that serves delicious food and smoothies. The owner/operator is very accommodating and will order requested products as well as reach out to companies for more information about their offerings. This shop is a must-visit for anyone following a vegetarian, vegan, or raw food lifestyle while staying in Canberra long-term.
