Zambrero Manuka - Griffith

Ordered a bowl from here for lunch. Delivered quickly and certainly was fresh and tasty. However, for the price and size I don't think it was the best value.

At times, the food from this restaurant is fantastic, while other times it is disappointing. On some occasions, the meat is cold and the portion sizes are tiny, but there are also times when the food is perfectly cooked and comes in a satisfying portion.

I’ve been to a few Zambrero locations over the years, but this is by far the worst. I’ve been there a few times now and I’ve been consistently disappointed by the stingy serving sizes. The meat and beans are served in tiny portions but the guacamole served are even worse. If I’m paying $2 for guac I’d like it to be more that a couple of teaspoons smeared on the tortilla... Most recently, my friend and I visited Zambrero for a couple of their burrito bowls hoping for a quick dinner. First of all the staff member starts adding salad ingredients that I hadn’t asked for (and, in fact, did not want). When I told them that I didn’t want the ingredient they made a half hearted attempt to pick out half the ingredients added (I shudder to think what would’ve happened if I had a good intolerance). Then they go to add another ingredient I didn’t ask for and I pull them up on that too! They then go back and ask if I want guac, sour cream or cheese and serve me the tiniest guac portion I’ve seen in a while (keep in mind the $2 surcharge).... It would be good if this business invested more in training their staff and providing portion sizes more consistent with other stores.

We had just got to Canberra and stumbled across zambrero for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious but the service was impeccable. The two young gentlemen who were working were so lovely and they also offered some places that were nice to sight see. When we are back in Canberra we will definitely be back!

There was three staffs on, and one small family plus myself in the cue. Yet it took three of them to serve that one family, while I waited for 15mins to be served. The girl who finally served me, didn't even apologize or seem a little apologetic for the wait. If you're in manuka, I'd suggest to check out other restaurants and fast food stores with good costumes service qnd equally good food.
