La Taverne Des Ecuries - Grilly

If you like the countryside, no traffic, horses ponies and space for children to play then try here. It is special. In the summer there are long ranch-type tables to eat off and in the colder days, one has the same inside. From the inside you have a view of children taking riding lessons. It is just so relaxing. If you are brave enough you can even go and stroke the ponies and horses. The food is very good and has just been taken over be a chef who is producing some excellent dishes. Try it, it's not far from Versoix or Divonne. Cheers!

I am really sorry to be writing this review, but I felt I had to since our experience was terrible. The restaurant is situated in a lovely and calm area, where you can see some beautiful horses. There is a very nice outdoor seating space and the inside has a traditional swiss decoration. The waitress was polite and nice. However, dishes mentioned in the menu were not available. The food was really really bad, the fries did not look or taste fresh and the meat was disgusting. The vegetable dish had almost no vegetables in it, and was exactly the same dish as all the others, just without the meat. There was nothing different or more! Unless they change the chef, they won't survive. It's a shame, such a great location and ambience... so much potential wasted.

A beautiful quiet place to make beautiful walks, excellent cuisine, horses, and nature, I recommend!!!

A very nice surprise, the dishes prepared were delicious, the setting is atypical and our children loved watching the horses by eating! I strongly recommend:
