This family business is a very charming place and mother and daughter care about you and they do it with charm and kindness. The tea shop has a very nice view on the hills and a nice place to observe the sunset. Food is absolutely...gorgeous.
Excellent breakfast with great views!!! Pastries freshly made, very kind service. Local confiture is amazing!!!! Only con that is a bit expensive!!!
Went to Grimaud on a Thursday morning, which happened to be market day. Wandered around the stalls, my wife bought a nice hairclip (5 Euros). We decided to look for somewhere to have a coffee and maybe a bit of cake and found this place...straight across from the market. Three grands cafes au lait were ordered and I was pleased to see it come with a decent sized jug of hot milk with which to top up your cup (few places seem to do this). Before the coffee arrived, my wife and mother in law had noticed the front window had a few cakes displayed. By the time they went in the shop there was no stopping them and cakes were duly chosen. Not wishing to lose out, I went and chose my cake.... The cakes were delicious and everything you should expect from a patisserie. Good portion, well presented and tasty. Add to that really good coffee and a very pleasing aspect watching the world go by as they toured the market and you have some idea of what this place is all about. Service was prompt and with a smile (including good English). All in all, a nice place to have a break whilst walking around this hilltop village. Three coffees and three cakes came to 16 18 euros not bad for a Riviera tourist destination.
