Bakkerij Blanche - Groningen

Also known as Bakkerij Blanche. I'd give it 5 stars for decor and ambiance. Muted greys, copper accents and a high ceiling hung with air plants. It's a greenhouse meets hipster coffee tent. Our server was sweet and friendly but had a tendency to bang your stuff down on the table. My tap water came in a filthy cup with floaty bits. Dutch standards? Add to this a really shitty flat white served in a soda glass ?!?!?! a piece of chocolate tart that was more granulated sugar than chocolate for €3,50? The only upside was the loose leaf earl grey. I don't know but I'm sorely disappointed as I loved that space. I sincerely hope it's a weekend staff thing.

Nach einem ausgiebigen Spaziergang in der Stadt kann man hier einkehren und einen guten Kaffe, heiße Schokolade oder ein Bier trinken. Dazu werden sehr gute Wärme und kalte Gerichte -vegetarisch oder mit Fleisch aus der Region- angeboten. Gemütliches Interieur. Nur nicht zu nah an der Tür sitzen, da es dann zieht. Vernünftige Preise, für die großen Portionen überraschend günstig.
