The food is delicious and the prices are low, the atmospehere is amazing and the staff is friendly. Overall a really nice experience.

Just because of the service alone worth 5 stars! Staff is very friendly and efficient. When my s.o. couldn't decide what to have the waiter asked what she was deciding between and then promptly offered to have a bit of both. Unheard of in the Netherlands! food was served quickly and nice enough. We have found our place to go! 12/10 recommend!

Me and a friend had lunch at The Ugly Duck today. It was very nice and the thing I liked the most is the fact that there were so many gluten free option so my friend didn't have to worry about that. It was cozy and not too busy. I don't know exactly what I would want to see to give it a five, but I'm very keen on coming back and deciding that. But the initial feeling is that it was really nice. The food was good and exactly enough as well for the price.

Really good food in a typical Dutch restaurant. They have a regular menu and a gluten-free menu and they take measures to prevent gluten cross-contamination in the kitchen. This place is perfect for celiacs like me. In addition, they are super care about other food restrictions. Our waiter was very nice and tried to find solutions to make my food onion-free, garlic-free and lactose-free. I recommend this place to anyone who lives or passes by Groningen!

For the first time, this city, a friend recommended this restaurant, in fact very satisfying: delicious food with very reasonable price, great location and very friendly people. Can't wait anymore. I love beef, which has been a star dish of Ugly Duck for 35 years. The tendernesses and the slightly sweet taste of brown sugar perfectly match my taste of stew.
